New Year's Eve with Kontrapunkt

Tonight there will be no regular Kontrapunkt Radio Show. Instead I will have an opportunity to do a special 3 hour long dance mix for you. Everything will start at 20.00 (UTC+01:00). All will be based on 80's music but new tracks will be mixed in as well. New romantic, synthpop, electronic but also new wave, gothic and electroclash. Tracks very well known but also a few known a little bit less.

45th Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Retro) December 17th, 2015 Announcement

On Thursday December 17th, 2015  at 21.00 (UTC+01:00) this year's last regular Kontrapunkt Radio Show will be broadcast on Polish Radio Rock Serwis FM.

This time, according to the subtitle the program will feature slightly older than usual tracks referring to the past, however the new releases also will appear.
I'll invite you to the concert of Clan of Xymox in Szczecin early next year, also such bands and artists like, among others, Belgian Parade Ground and British Attrition and of course announced last week Marc Almond will show up.

Everything starts with the Christmas introduction and ends with the dark and trance music.

44th Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Inventory #2) December 10th, 2015 Announcement

On Thursday December 10th, 2015 at 21.00 the next Kontrapunkt Radio Show will be broadcast live on air by Rock Serwis FM.
I realized that a lot of releases have been waiting for their presentation on Kontrapunkt, the time has come to reduce the queue at least a little. And since the Christmas holidays are approaching these are even more desirable.
The nature of the program will be very autumn- and winter-like filled with a serious, thoughtful, sad and grim mood.
But everything will start from birthday wishes for the Rock Serwis FM Radio, which turned 1 year old this Sunday.
Stylistically the show will feature dark ambient, Berlin school electronic and post punk and gothic.

Ponownie uświadomiłem sobie, że wiele tytułów czeka na swoją prezentację w Kontrapunkcie, nadszedł czas by choć trochę zmniejszyć kolejkę. A że zbliżają się Święta takie porządki są nawet wskazane.

Charakter programu będzie wybitnie jesienno-zimowy, wypełnią go nagrania poważne, zadumane, smutne niekiedy wręcz ponure.

Ale całość rozpocznie się radośnie od urodzinowych życzeń dla radiowego solenizanta czyli Rock Serwis FM, który w niedzielę ukończył 1 rok swojego istnienia.

W programie sięgnę po płyty, które już swoje odczekały w kontrapunktowej poczekalni ale pojawią się też 2 przyszłoroczne przedpremiery. Stylistycznie będzie m.in. dark ambient, elektroniczna szkoła berlińska oraz gothic.

43rd Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Multiplicity) December 3rd, 2015 Announcement

On Thursday December 3rd, 2015 at 21.00 (UTC+01:00) the next meeting in Kontrapunkt Radio Show broadcast on Polish Rock Serwis FM radio."Multiplicity" subtitle means the greater amount of the tracks featured in one show than usual. I have prepared up to 27 shorter compositions for the presentation in 120 minutes.
Sonically it will be 90% of electronic, from movie soundtracks to experiment (between there will be a place also for synthpop and minimal synth). Thematically - from a very well-known classical horror novel to the Polish industrial.
With one exception I'm going to airplay tracks from the CDs released this year, including Hocico, Architect, and John Foxx among others.

Pod wzgledem ilości nagrań będzie to program rekordowy. Do prezentacji w ciągu 120 minut przygotowałem dla Was aż 27 krótszych niż zwykle kompozycji.
Brzmieniowo będzie w 90% elektronicznie od muzyki filmowej po dźwiękowy eksperyment (pomiędzy znajdzie sie miejsce m.in. dla synthpopu i minimal synth), tematycznie od bardzo znanej klasycznej postaci literackiego horroru po klasyka polskiego industrialu.
Z jednym wyjątkiem zagram dla Was z płyt wydanych w tym roku, pojawią sie m.in. Hocico Official, Architect i John Foxx.

42nd Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Nostalgia) November 26th, 2015 Announcement

The next Kontrapunkt Radio Show today at 21.00 (UTC+01:00) on Rock Serwis FM radio. 
This will be the edition 9 of Season 2 - Nostalgia.

Because the older titles have been still re-releasing these days I decided to dedicate the most of my tonight's show to such nostalgic publishings. Some of them could quite easily go into the next "Lost In Time" episode of my show. In addition, there have been requests sent to me to become active in "Ocalić od zapomnienia" ("Saving from Oblivion") programmes on Rock Serwis FM, which heightened feeling of nostalgia in relation to old recordings even stronger. Some of you also yearn for the romantic music of the 80s, for them I will have something tonight.  
Those of you for whom mostly the new music matters - there will be some news as well, all the more most of the tracks broadcast today will come from just released or prepared to be released titles. 
For whose of you waiting for more challenging music several last minutes of the show will fill the drone, experimental and avant-garde music. 
The program will feature, among others, The Danse Society and Rossetti's Compass and at the end of it Column One and Nurse With Wound will make your time with their avant-garde music.

Będzie to edycja 9 sezonu 2 - Nostalgia.

Ponieważ ciągle pojawiają się wznowienia płyt wydanych premierowo ładnych kilka lat temu postanowilem nostalgicznie takim właśnie wydawnictwom poświęcić w większości najbliższe wydanie Kontrapunktu tym bardziej, że niektóre z nich mogłyby śmiało trafić do sekcji "Zaginieni w czasie". Ponadto pojawiają się prośby, bym uaktywnił się w paśmie "Ocalić od zapomnienia" co jeszcze spotęgowało uczucie nostalgi w stosunku do starych nagrań. Niektórzy z Was tęsknią także za romantyczną muzyką lat 80., dla nich też coś się dzisiaj znajdzie. Tych z Was, dla których istnieje głównie nowa muzyka uspokajam - nowości jak zwykle nie zabraknie a większość przygotowanych do prezentacji nagrań pochodzić będzie z tegorocznych wydanych bądż przygotowywanych do wydania płyt.

Pod koniec programu dla oczekujących trudniejszych brzmień kilkanaście minut wypełni muzyka drone, experimental, avant-garde.

W programie zagrają m.in. The Danse Society i Rossetti's Compass a pod koniec swą trudną awangardową muzyką umilą Wam czas COLUMN ONE oraz Nurse With Wound Official.

Prowadzący zastrzega sobie możliwość zmiany układu programu w ostatniej chwili w przypadku wystąpienia zdarzeń od niego niezależnych.

This will be the season 2 edition 8th entitled "Sadness".

With the help of music, one can try to describe everything, even what happened this weekend in Paris.
The subtitle of the program and the image is directly connected to these events in second part of the program appropriate tracks will show up.
In the first hour I will reach out for several new titles, the nature of the recordings will remain in the minor colours.
Snog, Twice a Man, Muslimgauze, Death In June, November Növelet will play among others.

Będzie to edycja 8 sezonu 2 zatytułowana "Smutek".

Przy pomocy muzyki można spróbować opisać wszystko, nawet to co wydarzyło się w ten weekend w Paryżu.
Podtytuł programu oraz obrazek nawiązuje bezpośrednio do tych wydarzeń a w drugiej części audycji pojawią się stosowne nagrania.
W pierwszej sięgnę po kilka nowości, charakter nagrań pozostanie jednak w minorowych barwach.

40th Kontrapunkt Radio Show (PL) November 12th, 2015 Announcement

On Thursday November 12th, 2015, the day after Wednesday's celebration of November 11th which is the Independent Day in Poland, I will air another selection of tracks on Rock Service FM in Kontrapunkt Radio Show.

This will be the edition 7 of season 2 entitled "PL".

The first hour will be filled with new sounds, including one release awaited by many, one awaited also by me and several more. You will get a lot of gothic music, including second part of the split story of The Danse Society, which has resulted in yet another album this year. The whole will be spiced with a pinch of the (old) new romantic. 
Patriotically in the second hour I'll present you tracks created here, on the banks of Vistula River, not necessarily very young, this year's recordings also will appear.

I have also prepared for you new giveaways - 3 genuine copies of "Drachma" by your favourite Polish band God's Own Medicine and the invitations to the concert Diary of Dreams (DE) with special guest The Beauty of Gemina (CH) in Warsaw.

39th Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Destruction) November 5th, 2015 Announcement

The next edition of the program Kontrapunkt will be on the air on Thursday at 21.00 on Rock Serwis FM radio. It so happened that most of the tracks prepared this time for you to be presented will touch the major contemporary topics related to the war, suffering and the ecological destruction of our planet so that's the reason for such subtitle of the show.

Kontrapunkt will be filled with mainly new songs, including a pre-premiere of the latest album of the Swedish band, which is very important for me personally. In the 80s it was an undiscovered jewel in our country despite the huge popularity of the minor synth music. For the first time for 29 years they recorded the album as a trio, and again this is an outstanding album. Besides, among others, Killing Joke, Dave Gahan, John Foxx, Schonwald and several other more or less well-known performers.
I will remind you also recordings of the great Test Dept, which this Saturday will perform in Wroclaw.
