Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Bipolarity) July 30, 2015 Announcement

This week the first edition of a new sub-series entitled "Bipolarity" will take place on Kontrapunkt Radio Show. In the future programs subtitled like that I will present the selected two topics in a more systematic form than usual.  
In "Bipolar" programs, I will be telling you the stories of artists, bands, labels, will present their full discographies in chronological order etc. I will also talk about musical phenomena, development of genres and so on.

Bipolar programs will appear on the air from time to time, unless of course you don't like this formula. I will be waiting also for your suggestions of topics that you would like me to take in subsequent sections of the series.

This week I will tell you in a condensed form the story of the legendary Cold Meat Industry, and in connection with the recent death of Dieter Moebius we will be listening to the archival Kluster music from the vinyl.

Kontrapunkt Radio Show (Inventory) July 23, 2015 Announcement

I finally decided to carry out the little clean-up and play for you the titles that have been politely waiting their turn for some time. Stylistically from gothic through minimal synth, film music and dark ambient. There will be mainly releases from this year.

In "Lost In Time" album recorded in 1986 by the American quartet formed by young musicians fascinated by the sounds of Factory and 4AD.

Two genuine copies of the Atomzero "Symbiosis" CD are waiting to be given away during the program.

I will also invite you to Combichrist concert, which will take place on August 5, 2015 in Progresja club in Warsaw (invitation for someone of you with accompanying person has been already waiting).

Kontrapunkt Radio Show July 16, 2015 Announcement

Holiday summer season is on the run thus everyone thinks about resting, vacations, travelling, festivals... Well, maybe not everyone, I can only dream about all of these still staying on Kontrapunkt's post.

This time it will be summer show dominated by synthpop and minimal wave themes. Something by Polish artists will be presented as well, there will be also an accent for Depeche Mode fans.
 
At the end the atmosphere will be chilled a bit, I will air great Bad Sector album and the newest Attrition release (Attrition giveaways are prepared for listeners - thank you Martin!).
 
Furthermore as usual - hot news and older tracks, for instance still fresh KMFDM and new Chant prior to it's street date.
 
"Lost In Time" series will be also presented again, this time with the cassette release from 1982.

The Insight Indiegogo.com campaign

The French post punk band The Insight has started their Indiegogo.com campaign. They need your help to release their newest album "White Noise". You are all welcome to join and contribute, surely they deserve your attention and support.

Here is the story written by the band: 

After troubles with our label, we are back to unsigned and need you to release White Noise.
As soon as you listen The Insight, you feel back in the suburbs of Liverpool or Manchester. Expressive voice, English poetic texts on a cold and post punk music, the band wields brilliantly saturated guitars, minimalist keyboards, heavy bass, as well as acoustic and electro beats, that surely will make you vibrate.

Proudly brandishing their post punk English influences, they are anyway French, coming from the city of Rennes in Brittany, where the band was born more than fifteen years ago.

After two albums self produced (“Into the fall” 2001 and “Hidden things”2007), the band joined Crysella Records’ roster in 2014 for the production and distribution of their 3rd album, “WHITE NOISE”. But after big disagreements and disappointment with the company about the release, the band has chosen to end this contract and came back to unsigned.

Now we need your help to release a new edition of White Noise both in CD and vinyl limited edition.

What you will give today will be entirely dedicated to this release and to prepare a tour ! You can be an activ part of the project and support actively indie music ! You can direcly help us to keep on making good music. We plan this new release for September, so keep in mind that you will receive your copy of White Noise in September. The vinyl limited edition could only be done in case we reach our goal, if not unfortunately, we won't be able to make it and give it to you...

Kontrapunkt Radio Show July 09, 2015 Announcement

The subtitle of the program ("water") refers to the fluid, without which it would be difficult to imagine our existence, especially in such hot weather we experience recently. Thus, in the first part of our meeting streams of water will flow...

Again I will invite you to MPM "Ambient Festival 2015" in Gorlice Poland which will take place this Friday and Saturday. One double invitation is waiting for someone of you.
On the show tracks by projects from current festival line-up Ebauche, Aquavoice and the brightest star of the festival Pieter Nooten will be presented. I also have free Aquavoice CDs for listeners. 

What else? During the show I will also play some new tracks including another Dave Middle's band - Black Buttercups and fantastic brand new Bad Sector.

I don't forget that July 11th we will be celebrating the 35 anniversary of one of the greatest electronic album of so called "new romantic" movement. Relevant songs will also be air played.

Next episode of "Lost In Time" will bring back Sudeten Creche tracks.

Kontrapunkt Radio Show July 02, 2015 Announcement

We are stepping into summer holiday season (unfortunately not me, I'm thinking about the work which is ahead of me and must be done soon) but Kontrapunkt is not slowing down and I have for you a handful of music premieres.

This time I will lead you from post punk and gothic rock through ambient and broken electronic to dark ambient and tribal.

Last week Mittageisen competition will be finished, I will be talking about The Inside croudfounding campaign , Frank Weyzing and his Born for Bliss will show up, we will meet again Dave Middle but this time as a part of Long Bone Trio project.

In news few very interesting, strongly electronic releases will sound including one done by Russian artist and newest release by Attrition.
