Dear friends and fans.This is Frank Weyzig of BORN FOR BLISS.
I am proud and excited to announce the upcoming release of our new album ‘Falling Back To Never’. At the moment I am finishing the final mixes and preparing the stems to be sent out for final mastering.
I could try to describe the music on this album to you, but with so many things already being said about today’s music, it would be difficult not to talk in clichés. Yes, some of you may remember that me and drummer Willem van Antwerpen were former ‘Clan Of Xymox’ members. During the early and exiting 4AD years of this electronic-wave legend (mid to late 80’s), myself and Willem have been involved in this band. From this period result the first two ‘Xymox’ albums, ‘Clan of Xymox’ and ‘Medusa’, which are still classic highlights. So undoubtedly you will hear some early ‘Xymox’ influence on this new album as well.
The third B4B member is Remco Helbers. Remco found his way to Born For Bliss via ‘The Dreamside’, and ‘Love Like Blood’ on stage. With his distinguished style of playing bass, the ‘Chapman Stick’, and his unique way of working with loops and soundscapes, he adds a special dimension to the Born For Bliss sound.
It has been quite a while since we recorded our last full B4B album. To make the release of our new album a reality I am asking you to be fully engaged and involved in the process to make it a success. I am well aware of my tendency to take independent action with the belief that I’m doing the right thing, at the same time realizing that I need your support in funding what as always is a costly venture.
Making an album requires inspiration, massive dedication and yes…. money. We can provide the first two things. By pre-ordering CD or download, you will make sure we have the funds to manufacture, promote, design the new album and perhaps take it on tour to a place near you.
I could not leave you without giving you my view on the music scene. We all know that the music business is going through a massive change right now. Imagine this; while I was playing with ‘Xymox’ in the mid-eighties, our first album was released on vinyl only. There were not even CD’s back then! The speed at which everything is changing is incredible! Nowadays, all existing music, almost everything that has ever been recorded is downloadable, legal or illegal….
So, is there still hope for alternative music and their creators? Of course, as long as you, the fans, are willing to support your favorite artists. And as long as we, your favorite artists, are willing to provide you with pure and honest music…
The album is set to be released early June 2015. We are planning to release the first single and video early May 2015.
